December 8, 2022 – Terumo's Ultimaster™ drug-eluting stent family has become the first coronary stent to receive the mention of 1-month dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in its reimbursement conditions in France.

This recognition reflects the strong body of clinical evidence supporting the Ultimaster stent family's safety profile with shortened DAPT duration, potentially offering physicians greater flexibility in managing antiplatelet therapy for appropriate patients following stent implantation.

"This is a significant recognition of the extensive clinical evidence behind the Ultimaster platform," said a Terumo representative. "Shorter DAPT duration can be an important consideration for certain patients, and we are pleased that this evidence is now reflected in France's reimbursement framework."

The Ultimaster stent family continues to be supported by a robust portfolio of clinical studies evaluating its performance across a range of patient populations and treatment strategies.
